Am I the only one who thinks Decidueye and Rillaboom lines would work way better if they switched generations?

Probably, but I'm pretty sure they don't want there to be two bara starters in Alola and two 'cool' starters in Galar.
And when you see it at other ways, Rillaboom is still based on British rock music. This ties with British sport and film on 'British entertainment' as the theme of Galar starter trio. Rillaboom look kinda out of place in Alola starter trio when there's already bara starter and a music-based starter.
I dunno why they made Decidueye a Robin Hood though.

Well Decidueye is in Alola because its species and Rillaboom is in Galar because of its theme. Switch them and you could make the same argument as OP. Britain doesn't have a very rich spiritual history with owls and Hawaii doesn't have monkeys or apes. I prefer them where they are now.

Ok, but what creature can you identify with ice in Hawaii? I can only think the Vanilluxe line could play and maybe Walrein (no walruses there but it's supposed to represent seals as a whole so who cares)
