Dusclops is actually based off of one of these things. Makes sense, considering a hollow grim reaper robe with a floating red orb in the center evolves into a hollow paper lantern cyclops. And the stripes allow a western audience to interpret it as a mummy as well. Personally, I really like the wide-eyed blank gaze and the way it looks like it would shamble around like a zombie. I find it a lot more charming than Dusknoir.
