I already skipped LetsGo, but under no circumstances i ever thought i would skip a whole generation.
After the LetsGo shitshow, the teasered the new game, and i started saving on a switch for it. Then the 27th February came and i already felt weird when the first scenes and the starters where revealed. They looked cute, but not special. And the gamescenes looked like a fucking gamecube game.
Then Dexit came along and i already knew i probabyl wont get it, but i still would give it a chance. Then the "high qualitiy animations" came were a thing, along with GFs fucking lies.
At release week, when more and more cringey shit was leaked, i was fucking happy i didnt spend money on this shit. Didnt buy a switch either, i spend that money on stuff for my animals, far more useful.
I had a weak moment last week when i found a plush magikarp at Gamestop (i wanted that stupid fish in physical form since RBY so i bought him) but i want buy any of the SWSH merchandise- easy because most new pokes look like shit anyway and the few ones i like probably dont will get merch ever (dreepy, that fireworm etc.)
I still play GO and older games but in the future i will avoid everything else related to pokemon entirely, just like i did with star wars after TFA.
And it feels good.
