Just wait for the superior-in-every-way deluxe edition next year. And if there is no deluxe edition next year, you can buy SwSh after you've confirmed that it's the definitive version, and even get it cheaper than right now.

For switch some random games I recomend are Fe 3 houses, Astral chain, and atelier ryza

for ps4 my recommendations are nier automata, sekiro, no man sky (has been updated non stop since release), crystar, dark rose valkyrie

It depends. I mean, USUM isn't generally considered to be much of an improvement on SM, so if you want to play SwSh now, why wait a year? Just to save $5? There are used copies in existence if you have a problem with supporting GF too.

I can't recommend OP either way because I haven't taken the Switch-pill.

If you want a turn based rpg, get Persona 5 or DQ11, if you want the satisfaction of leveling up a customizable team, get FE 3 houses or Digimon, if you want a game with exploration, adventure and discovery get Breath of the Wild or Mario Odyssey
