it's fairly implausible that the last type: null ended up with some random thot that hangs out in galar trying to give it away to someone they've just met
but that's not really the point. the point is that no thought went into what the galar dex would be. dexit aside, corsola is in alola, smeargle is in kalos, snorlax is in unova. why isn't the Scottish terrier pokémon in galar?

Seriously? This isn't supposed to be the kind of Pokemon that anyone can just have. It's a chimera, an experimentation by people who were trying to play god. Now we're just gonna make more? It undermines the story behind Gladion and his Null, having to escape the dreadful conditions of Aether.

I imagine it was meant to tie into the Galarian fossils being chimeras, or Eternatus was mea to be another "sort of UB" like Necrozma and Cosmog. Cara Liss should've been an ex-Aether scientist and been the person who gives you a Type: Null as proof that she can create amazing creatures.
