Why did the dynamax ban cause so much butthurt on /vp/?

If you don't play OU, it doesn't affect you at all. And everyone that actually plays OU is glad it's gone.

Because I don't care about the gay browser shit, the problem is Smogon infects the community like a tumor and now I have to deal with their cancerous "Dyna isn't REAL Pokemon" infecting every discussion around the game for the rest of time. It shouldn't even have been up for a vote in the first place because you cannot remove it as an option on cart and the game's built around it.

Who the fuck says this shit? I've been hearing this stupid strawman argument since gen 5. Where some fucker goes on battle spot and makes up a story about how he "epicly trolls" smogfags with his speed boost blaziken or some shit.

And anyway, no one argues that Dyna isn't real pokemon, the whole point of this ban is that Dynamax is unbalanced for 6v6 OU singles, because it was made for VGC.

The thing I don't get is the people that try and make it seem like Smogon and VGC are competing with each other when a lot of VGC players practice on Showdown and Smogon has send players to regionals and such.
