The dex cut was inevitable after having 800+ pokemons.
it's would make implementing new ideas into a hell ride.

But Gamefreak took the worse approach to it and lazily just pulled out an excuse from the doomed gates of Masuda asshole.

They could have avoided lot of problems by making an actual stadium 3:

>Online competitive with leaderbords and events
>a more precise, fast and effective ways to train and breed your pokemons than any Pokemon game
>minigames online from different Gens from poffins maker to every old stadium minigames
>a better chat system for making trading more easy than ever
>a 3D wild aera working like a pokepark
>maybe including a pokesnap adventure
>regular update to balance the Pokemons without the need to wait for a new game
>multiple boss rushes

Now that details are out of the way
They're now able to experiment a new adventure breaking the main core formula and going into exploring a wonderful world back again with more time to the single-player and

But I guess hallways and a gmod plain map are OK for you all...
