>>41968140The trick is to have Dusknoir run Trick Room and have it sent out against a Pokémon you suspect is going to use Trick Room.
Normally, Dusknoir is quite slow, so it has no problem taking advantage of its own Trick Room. But since, as you mentioned, it is a bit faster than other Trick Room users such as Dusclops, they will often outspeed it in Trick Room. To prevent this, simply have Dusknoir use Trick Room on the same turn that your opponent will use Trick Room - since Dusknoir is naturally faster than most opponents in such a scenario, it will set its own Trick Room before they do, giving your opponent enough time to realise what a fool they are before their own Pokémon uses Trick Room as well, cancelling out its effect.
Now your opponent will feel very silly, and on top of that, they will only have 7 more chances to set up Trick Room at most.
Additionally, Dusknoir's low HP actually works to its advantage in many cases - not only does it make Dusknoir a more effective user of Pain Split, it also makes it easier for it to be knocked out, allowing you to send in a better Pokémon such as Natu or Ferroseed.
Hope this helps!
