>>41973984>Haven't watched it, but really wanted to see the rest of the team get their Megas. If this is all you wanna, honestly just play the Adventures PSP game
Tri retains basically nothing from the original. >Characters have regressed to have forgotten the lessons they learned throughout 01/02
example: Joe used to stake his life to protect his friends throughout 01/02, like sacrificing himself for T.K., or ditching an important test to help Cody, etc., while in Tri he basically ditches them to study for exams. 02 kids are basically written out entirely. Antagonists have no personality or dialogue in Tri, whereas in 01/02 half the fun was seeing the quarrel with the kids
>If the above wasn't bad enough, there's a new character introduced, whose Digimon is a Mary Sue, and a lot of time is spent trying to make the audience feel sorry for her. This not only shafts screentime for the OG cast, but the new character is quite bland and doesn't develop, she just whines the whole time due to her circumstances>Horrible animation. There's no fighting until the like the last 10 minutes of each movie, and any "action" before that is literally freeze-frame screenshots>No "adventuring" really Half the time is in the real world, and when they go into the Digital World they're not allowed to meet their old friends or anything, and nothing really happens thereBasically in short, nothing is kept from the original series. No humour, no action, not even the drama holds up. In 01 you had serious plot lines like Tai feeling guilt over nearly killing his sister, or Izzy having to deal with being adopted, or T.K. and Matt trying to salvage their brotherly relationship from a divorce, while nothing even comes close, so it's a bad sequel series to 01/02.
As its own thing, it's written like bad fanfiction, with forced melodrama, while the rest is generic "slice-of-life" type stuff where nothing happens for 90% of the story
