His team aside, Lance seems to be seem as an okay guy.

People like his sort of "secret agent" thing that shows that he is one of the only Champions willing to do things, and the fact that he blasts a team rocket guy with Hype Beam.

The only reason Lance is cool is because Dragonite is fucking cool as shit and Lance has 3 FUCKING DRAGONITES and even then it's pretty obvious that those fucking Dragonchads stick around that loser because he's a champion and canonically two of those Dragonites leave him which is why they have to be replaced in a rematch by inferior dragons

I liked Lance in Gen 1, and I like his design in general, but having him show up as champ for Gen 2 was underwhelming, considering we already stomped him in the first game.
