Probably went rogue and dropped the sprites before HC could ""officially"" post them, similar to when the Spaceworld screenshots got posted here before Team Spaceworld/Helix Chamber could make an ""official"" post about having it in their possession.
Alternately, Helix Chamber leaked this out themself that way, but have pulled the whole "we don't know if it's real, woah guys!" thing so that Nintendo lawyers won't come for them. Can't prove it's them who posted them if they seem to suspect it's legitimacy at first and don't claim to be connected to the posting of the beta sprites.
I have a feeling if that is the case, then all the leaks from the past two years have all come from Helix Chamber/Team Spaceworld, and that they could potentially be sitting on other major beta content.
It's somewhat suspect that all the leaks have happened roughly equal distance apart from each other. Spaceworld, the Gen 1 asset leak, and now this (I think it's about eight months between each one?)
If that is the case, Helix Chamber pls just post all the prototype and beta stuff you have and stop stringing us along
