If anything that would probably give them even more of a reason to sit back and half ass whatever game they make because regardless of how good gen 5 is or how good you think it is, Game Freak still can't code, they still reuse engines every 3 generations and they still would have transitioned to 3D. Face it, you're just disconnected from the franchise now due to your own bias and nostalgia, just like the Genwunners in gen 3 and just like the Hoennbabies in gen 5.
