Emerald is the easiest to get into/enjoy if you never played before. Heargold/Soulsilver and Black/White are also good for new players.

I also agree. Best overall. Gen 5 does a great job 2, but HG/SS has so many things in it, all good.

Literally nothing unless you're a storyfag or like being forced to rediscover excitement with only newly introduced Pokemon.

BW have great build up and climax, but once the main game is over it becomes absolutely fucking boring with nothing to discover except another Legendary Pokemon that faintly teases its own game.

I loved BW and I have no idea why people relate the postgame (what we call anything after the credits roll) so much. Oh, and you quickly come across a building where you can transfer Pokemon from Sinnoh and remake Johto and use them there .

Also, N64 pokemon games, mainly Stadium 1 and 2, and Pokemon Snap. Stadium games have fun multiplayer minigames. Snap is just a fun little game.

I played Red and Silver on GBC when they were released. Then I played Ruby on an emulator two/three years ago. Then I bought a DS and a 3DS so that I could play Diamond, White, Black 2 and Moon. I've yet to buy a Switch.

Tbh, I like Moon very much. At the same time really enjoy Red and Silver from my childhood. White was cool, because 3D. I'd probably rate them like this:

Silver > Moon > Red > White > the rest.
