Their appearance is pretty much a middle finger to canine morphology which I despise, they go far beyond it while using it as a base and overall they work well aesthetically. It's extremely rare for me to love a pokemon design this much, I don't even like the other so called "furrymons" and pretty much consider 90% of all pokemon to be mediocre to bad designs.
The only reason why they haven't created a proper civilization like humans is because the pokemon universe is a fucking cesspool where they are relegated to the state of conforming wild animals or slaves, when logically it shouldn't be the case. It's the ideal I care about regardless.
