The formats that matter on cart ban g-max unless they've been part of events, so only garbage like g-corv etc. is allowed for now.
As for Smogon stuff, all d-max is banned in singles.

You mean Nerf in SM?
Gengar was buffed in Gen 6 with Fairies being weak to Poison, Steel losing its resistance to Ghost, and trapping abilities no longer work.
It didn’t lose levitate until SM.
