>repeat the process of 3 time skips and check the 4th

Meanwhile us farmCHADS use the items on our competitive mons. Then go on to farm A N Y raid that appears. Farmchads are bros that help any and all passing raids whilst Shinyvirgins think only of themselves. Some go as far as attaining multiple of the same shiny and think NOTHING of their fellow shinyvirgins.

Imagine for ONE second being a shinyvirgin. I cannot.

The consensus is we don’t really know and to be safe just make sure time doesn’t pass irl. Reset clock to be like 2 am before you go to sleep and keep setting it back when you wake up to avoid natural time passes. In theory you could just reset your game and it will roll your game back to the frame you were on. So if natural time passed to 38 reloading your save would take you back to frame 39

You still need to have cfw or know someone with cfw to get your seed, but there's a quicker way for the person with cfw to check your seed now:

Once you have your seed you can check every future frame with this tool:

But again, you need help from someone with cfw to get to that point.

As someone who hosted a shiny den for the first time ever today, it's really simple. When you're 3 days before your shiny seed, you initiate a successful trade with someone and then save the game. That's it. A backup save is generated from there. So long as you stay around the den (don't fly somewhere or do some other random bullshit that doesn't pertain to you hosting raids), your backup save will stay untouched.

When you find a mon you want to farm for a bit that isn't the main mon you're looking for (say, Eiscue), save as normal as soon as you see it show up. Once you're done farming it, you roll back to your backup save (B+Up+X on the title screen) and you can start searching for Lapras again.

You might have known all of this already, but this is also for people who may be new to hosting these shiny raids.

Also, have you thought about making the tool you're using specifically public? Just from checking randomly around, most places seem to be still only using the much slower method of checking seeds, saying stuff like it takes 15 minutes for a host to check one seed.

I'd have to polish it a bunch, right now a lot of things are hardcoded in there (like my switch ip adress for example) and the pkhex plugin crashes if I try to get the trade pokemon too quickly.

That being said, even with the public seed check tool it shouldn't take 15 minutes for a seed.

Dudu is someone with cfw that can tell you your den seed if you show him a pokemon that you caught in said raid in a trade. After showing the pokemon in trade you can reset your game (so you don't lose the den).

You can then take the seed and put it in RaidFinder (>>42029220 ) to check the stats of every future pokemon in said den. You can use that to find out when the next shiny or 6iv or 0iv or whatever pokemon pops up.

I recommend everyone just use the Raidfinder tool.
It also helps you kind of make sure that you're on the right track. If you catch a pokemon from the den, you can compare it to roughly where you think you are in terms of count and see if you're on track. That way, you don't need Dudu to check you progress.

there's three ways to check seeds:
1. someone joins your raid and catches the pokemon and checks that
2. someone joins your raid and checks while fighting the pokemon
3. you catch the pokemon from your raid and show it in trade to someone with cfw (without saving ofc)

We pretty much only do the trade method, as this is the fastest on the one checking

Habsen, if you check your backup and its no longer saved 3 spaces away, I think Vort had that happen to him too. I think its time related as I've not had issues with it but I've never stuck on a single raid for too long.

Guess its good to know in the future.
Whenever I got finished hosting eevee, I would load the backup and save the backup over the other save.
Probably much less enticing to do with a 5% raid compared to a 15% raid.
