I played for a bit up to Granite Cave. The new variety of wild pokemon is a very nice addition. A way to further improve upon this is by changing the teams of pokemon trainers to reflect these added pokemon. You could also give players the National Dex at the start of the game.
Like >>42035743 said, the tiles in the Poke Mart as well as Oldale Town seem to be broken or misplaced, so this might be worth looking into.
Either way this seems like a pretty decent start to a romhack, good luck OP.
