What if the reason Megas and Z-moves were taken wasn't because of balance, but because of Dynamaxing. By this I mean that due to how Dynamaxing works, that Pokemon could still then Mega-Evolve or use a Z-move but GF couldn't figure out how that would work and wasn't able to make it that these options were just disabled when Dynamaxed so they removed the problematic mechanics.
