he is partly right at least, there was a nice amount of solid QoL changes to the game, personally I think they were on the right track but just ran out of time because x-mas release, having to be on time with the anime etc.

It's poorly worded, they fixed complaints from other games for this one, but they didn't fix the complains specific to this game. Then again i could be wrong, fuck if im gonna spend more for something i dont find worthy, maybe they did patch it i havent heard of it

Why is it that when the quality of the games concerning Pokémon come into question people get hyper defensive saying shit like “B-bro it’s just his opinion, he doesn’t need to preface it or anything calm down.” I guarantee if someone took a screen cap of the same comment but the positivity was aimed towards Fallout 76, they would get hounded by multiple users.

I for one an happy about the shitstorm brought by Sw/Sh. The games were getting very shitty since the transition to 3D and they started to base their games around the gen gimmick while letting quality take a dive but people still gave it a ok with only a small minority complaining about the problems, the rest only complaining after a few months when the honeymoon phase ended, they moved to the next shiny toy and the game sold millions. It needed something big to shake things and while this game still sold a lot it worked to expose how shitty things are going and the sheep who eat anything with Pokémon on it. I just hope when the honeymoon phase is done for those people they become more critical and demand a better product rather than go apeshit, defend the shitty product and move on to the next title.

Nutrients can be used en masse, the boxes are linked to your party and don't auto heal, natures can now be changed too, these all seem like things that people asked for and got.

Because they want everyone to be able to picture whatever voice they want and have it be "true," rather than someone opening their mouth and suddenly sounding radically different from what they imagined. Also the voice acting would be guaranteed to be awful; you don't kid yourself.

But the rest is just reaching really hard. The lack of following Pokémon is likely to prevent worse performance in the wild area, so I don’t think that was a “we weren’t listening” kind of thing so much as it was a “making gamu hard prs andastandu”. You can’t expect them to grant every little wish you have but say they didn’t listen to fans whatsoever just because you weren’t pandered to.
