>>42042501Sorry, I got carried away when I thought of the transition from 2D to 3D, and how Eelektross is often used as an example of what went wrong.
>What went right?-Evolution line makes sense; eel gradually progresses while staying true to the base form
-Electric-type with Levitate gives it no weakness under normal conditions
-overall a good movepool with moves like Thunderbolt, Wild Charge, Crunch, Flamethrower, Acrobatics, U-turn, Aqua Tail, Coil, etc.
>What went wrong?-The 3D model of Eelektross in battle looks horrible, despite having a good model in Amie
-not a heavy hitter without stat boosts, especially in the Gen 5+ meta
-outclassed by Galvantula in-game in BW, and by many Electric-type Pokemon in B2W2
-SLOW
-FRAIL
-MIXED
-ATTACKER
