>>42046399Platinum is so hard to go back to with the slowness of the Sinnoh games. Really needs those remakes. HG/SS I hold in high regard as the peak of pixel Pokemon and second in my eyes only to the Gen 5 sets of games. Sinnoh was super interesting, but it was also a mess of stumbling through caves with lots of the same Pokemon being encountered over and over due to this. BW2 expanding the dex to an amazingly diverse selection of old and new Pokemon spread out on really thoughtfully designed encounter tables that put Sword and Shield to absolute shame I can't see as anything but a positive, even though it was cool to have a set of games where everyone was new.
>>42046420>it's a children game made by an indie studioThe first part I just got done explaining how that doesn't fly as an excuse, and the second part is a strawman literally nobody has said.
>the most richest media franchise of all world and have actual moneySorry, you misunderstood what I meant by "free". I mean as in the slang for effortless, not the cost of making the games. That said, TPC has all the money, not GameFreak. The games made a good amount of money, but Pokemon as a franchise is mostly rich off the merchandise, not the games.
>And yet they cannot do a simple rpg since RBY compared to the competitionFirst off, they've had good games since RBY. Don't be a Genwunner. Second, what competition? They have zero serious competition, because nobody is even attempting to do the monster battling genre in the same way they are, probably because it is such an expensive, unrealistic, pain in the ass to even attempt. Lastly, yeah the Pokemon games are technically RPGs, but that's never been what people find appealing in them. People aren't buying them for their compelling RPG stories.
>They got 23 years to learnNo, they've got about 2-3 years to constantly adapt to new challenges as gaming moves forward with zero breaks.
>and 192 billions dollarsNobody has that. Continuing post.
