I think the info about backups should be added to the op. Especially the part about avoiding holding backups for too long. I think everyone who's held a raid overnight or for longer than like 5/6 hours lost their backup.
I'm not sure if I ever exceeded that mark, but I probably didn't, and I did load my backup every once in a while to just nake sure it's where I wanted it to be.

Why do I have to take out the eventshit every day now before I can get the regular shit? There's a difference between having one or maybe two event dens every set and fucking spamming them in my face so I literally can't play the game until I've dealt with them despite their shit catchrates.

It wasn't like this before the Snorlax event started. Ever since that started I don't get a purple beam in the first raid set because nearly every fucking den is comprised of the same 4 event mons. A few weeks ago when I walked into the Wild Area first thing in the morning there was always a purple beam and a healthy variety of regular dens, but not now. Now I can't get that until I've cleaned out hordes of the same 4 event mons every morning.

(you have to be on the website before showing the pokemon in trade, or you won't see the seed). You only have ~15 seconds to show the pokemon or it will cancel the trade on you.

Well fuck.

I wanted to get a Zacian, I feel kinda gimped without one. Spent the time to train up my Eternatus last night, but modest specs Dynamax Cannon dealt underwhelming damage. Sword Doggo is crazy.

I use Zamazenta sometimes, but I've mostly been sticking to support in raids with Decorate Alcremie. Have you noticed? Is it helpful, or should I just get a Zacian? I've been thinking about bringing a healer to some of the tougher raids, but I'm not sure that it's worth it.

My logic is that Zacian can deal such huge damage that you can basically ignore the shields and attack the raid boss through them. The health gates suck, but when I get Jam Tilly to support a Zacian properly, the boss dies before the barrier is broken.

Also realized that Helping Hand is a thing. Might work.

that's a good point, i don't remember the exact damage it did but if with your strategy you can manage to actually kill the boss in 2-3 hits even through shields then that sounds good. also i guess it's nice to see variety instead of the same 4 dogs spamming a 10 seconds animation attack

I'm pretty sure I did 5 star gmax raids with a friend when he only had 1-2 badges. We made fun of the game because he used the L and XL candies to boost his starter to lvl 40+ before the 2nd gym.

You need to have ppl added as friends to see their raids though. And you can't spawn your own 5star raids until you finish the game

You need 8 gym badges if you want 5-star raids to appear in your wild area, but you can join other people's raids anytime. The mons scale down to your current max badge level if you catch them.

If you're not seeing anyone's raids, there are a couple of reasons for it. You're not locked out though. You need to add people as friends to see their raids consistently. The internet connection will sometimes time out and idle if you don't keep it active (which means that you won't see new stamps).

the legendaries' signature move have 100 attack power, deal double damage to dynamax mons and get STAB.
They are basically made to destroy raids. I guess zacian is the best choice since she gets an attack boost at the start of the battle.
Only downside is the animation takes forever

the switch is running cfw and theres a sysmodule in the background that connects to my pc over wifi. The sysmodule also pretends to be a controller to the game, so I can send button inputs from the pc. I can also read certain parts of the game memory to the pc whenever I want.

The bot itself just starts a trade with a code, waits until someone trades it, waits for the other party to show a pokemon and then extracts that pokemon, sends it to pc, which then calculates the seed and sends it to the webserver to display. Afterwards the bot cancels the trade and starts from the beginning.

You better hope to god it's the heavy Duraldon for max efficiency. I think it still has better odds if it was the Stalwart ability compared to the Light Metal one. Even though G-Max/D-Max Pokemon are supposed to be heavier, I don't think that matters as the default weight of the species is taken to account.

you put a wishing piece in the den you want (optionally: reset until its a purple beam if you want the rare one). Then you save your game.
Catch the pokemon of that den, but don't save after, trade the bot, show the pokemon. The bot will show you the seed.

Type the seed into raid finder and check if its a good one (close to shiny/6iv/whatever you want), if yes you reset until you get it. If its not a good one (shiny in 12k resets for example), you clear the den and throw in a new wishing piece and start from the beginning.

well i spent the last 2 hours trying to get raidfinder/pokefinder to work to no avail and my laptop has good specs and works with most stuff just certain programs it packs in even downloaded stuff to try get it running so i cant check seeds as of yet :/ i reckon in the next week if no patch DuDu will work with someone and get a seed checker that works with raidfinder a lot easier to get the ball rolling, on that note if i find a good den worth raiding anyone care to check how many frames in the seed for me? TIA. ill be sure to come back here once i find something!

whats your problem with raidfinder, all you need to do is put your seed (without the 0x) in the seed field, pick the pokemon/den you want and filter the status you want on the right (shiny), then increase max results and press generate.

I just read you don't have to go back into the game when changing dates with the vs exploit, you just need to press the "ok" button to change the date and can change again right away for the seed to advance.

Can someone try if thats the case? That'd mean 2000 resets in an hour easily.

so, what do i select for IV count in raid finder? I'm just looking for a 6IV ditto which sounds like it should be fast enough with this to set up.
and with 5 iv count i get one in 76 frames while with 4 iv count i get one in >1000.
I take it it's the amount of guaranteed perfect IVs. Though i thought 5* only have 4. Or is that why it lists 4 different 5* dittos and some of them have 4 guaranteed and some 5 IVs?

I would just look at the current date your switch is set to. note that down

use a date calculator to find the exact date in 1166 days note that down. also note what 10 days before and what 3 days before is.

start by saving at the one 10 days before in case you fucked up somewhere along the way and advance to the date of the shiny. if it is shiny advanced to 3 days before and save

if you pick the den and pokemon manually then it should fill in iv count/gender/ability/etc automatically.

Otherwise IV Count is Star rating - 1 and if its a event then +1. So for standard 5 star raids its 4 and for event 5 star raids its 5.

1) Do the exploit to get a rare den (purple beam)
2) once you have your rare beam, save before catching it. Enter, catch the mon whatever it is, then DON'T SAVE, trade with dudu's bot using code 7724 and go to http://116.202.105.91/ copy the code that is displayed when you trade the raid mon you caught. Don't complete the trade. Soft reset the game and the beam should be back.
3) download raidfinder (google it, it's on github)
Change version in raidfinder if needed and paste your code. in "seed" (remove the 0x in front). Then check the box "shiny" by putting "star/square" and click on generate. It tells you a number in front of each pokemon.
4) take that number, remove 1 on it. Check your switch date. Turn off online and internet date checking. Calculate the date that it will be using that number (for example 1st march 2023) and now you have to skip days one by one using the time skip exploit (enter raid, invite ppl, home menu, change date, back in game, leave red, if den is red again it's good, repeat until you reach 10 days before the number raidfinder gave you and save. Then you skip 10 days one by one, check if it's shiny, reset, skip 7 days one by one, save, skip 3 days, check, and then reset and reskip 3 until you get your shiny target)

It is much, MUCH faster to use the online battle method to skip days

Basically, when you're ready to start timeskipping, do this instead:
- go to the battle spot
- enter ranked Battles
- double or single, doesn't matter
- get into a battle
- forfeit
- mash b over and over

Now you're constantly in the "online" state and can timeskip. Home menu, change day, jump back into Swsh and the raid will be different. Then hit home, change the day, go back into Swsh, and repeat until your target day. This saves you the hassle of needing to search for players every time, which is huge when you're advancing the frame hundreds of times.

Visit http://116.202.105.91 (open it up before doing the trade) and trade via Link Code (7724), it should open a trade with Dudu.

Then you'll be able to see the seed on the webpage. Then use RaidFinder (https://github.com/Admiral-Fish/RaidFinder/releases).

As soon as you show your pokemon it should post the seed on the website and cancel the trade.

You only have ~15 seconds to show the pokemon or it will cancel the trade on you.

Just a work-around to post it on the OP next time, fix it if necessary

Well you can see the name in the trade and you can see if your name gets posted on the website, so you can tell quickly if its a random or not.

You don't actually finish the trade either, you just show your pokemon, if the bot is trading you then thats enough to get your seed, the bot will close the trade afterwards.

right now things aren't too busy, so you have a pretty good chance to get the bot if you try trading atm

It doesn't. The only ways to fuck up the seed are by advancing too far or by using another wishing piece.

Saving can fuck you over if you pass the shiny raid, so just make sure you're at LEAST 3 raids behind it before saving. Go slow and be careful.

Go slow when you get close, dumbass. You can get 500+ advances in an hour if you're fast, but once you get about a month away from your target it's better to slow the fuck down to avoid ruining all your past work.

i got a 7960 frame shiny for my seed, which is shit. But just so i know for the future, the encounters are each equal to a 1 day skip. So encounter one is the pokemon i caught to get the seed, encounter 2 is 1 day forward, than encounter 3, etc.
