I know this is bait but seriously SMRPG is overrated as hell but it's by far one of the most polished RPGS that has ever graced this world. It really says something when the designated Casino Area has the shittiest minigames in the whole game.

I simply have more refined and educated taste than the common man. I'm not stupid enough to circlejerk a game like SMB3 just because it was good for its time and influenced future games, or SM64 because of epic parallel universe memes.

It had influence and it was a good game. It just wasn't "OMG SUPER MEGA ULTRA LEGENDARY ALL TIME BEST GAME EVER". Yet the video game industry is a piece of shit formed by jews and hacks of all kinds, so that's why a good game was pushed so hard.
Spyro is good as well and often dismissed because "not nintendu" and not forced in marketing everywhere.
