Either someone is just saying goodbye to a pet or straight up fucking abandoning it old-fashioned because it wasn't good enough for them in whatever way after raising when it clearly loves them. And while the artist thankfully doesn't make creepy shit, the noticeably more detailed road and woods you'd expect in a horror manga can lead anons to imagine awful shit is going to happen.
