>>42068851>There has been a lot of exploration into gardevoir's psychic nature, what are some interesting things about gardevoir's fairy nature?Psychics seen like they're powerful and rational. They're about mental prowess, intelligence, and understanding, and with Ghosts tend to be the types most distant from human understanding. Fairy type however is irrational and fun. Psychic is all about the mind, but Fairy is about the heart.
So the Fairy part is where all the emotion stuff comes from. Gardevoir is probably worse at being a Psychic than, say, Alakazam, because Alakazam's abilities are purely based on raw force of will. Gardevoir has everything filtered through feeling though, so the whole world looks different to her.
Fairy also seems to be the "alien" type (especially based on the beta Kalos storyline,) so I think Gardevoir's weird physiology comes from that aspect of her. Psychics are already distant from humanity, but the fact that she's both is why she's a strange cosmic being.
>How do Gardevoir's survive the winter in the wild?I think they tend to nest down where they can. They still need to look for food so things can get hard, and their bodies are unable to store fat so they can get very cold. They probably use some of their psychic powers though to stabilize their temperature, so a lot of their time is spent idle and meditating. (I like to think they do the same thing in the rain as well, creating a bubble of psychic force to keep the rain off of themselves)
>What would a psychically fit gardevoir look like? Could a gardevoir train enough to be able to stand with psychically supporting their weight?I'm not sure if a Gardevoir can get fit. I think their bodies would have evolved without the need for muscles, which is why they're so sticklike. If they could though, I think they'd look very different from how we normally see them. Their legs would have more defined calves and thighs, and the rest of their body would look less "tubelike."
