They are far less out there. Even if no Pokemon is grounded in the grand scheme of things, some are more grounded than others. Gen 4 went way too overboard with that garbage and too many gens past it have followed suit.

The Creation trio gets too much shit. Hoenn already started the creation story so why not go full throttle? It's not even that big of a deal. Only Sinnoh is that religious, there's barely that many references to the trio besides Team Plasma having the orbs and Silvally being based on Arceus, not that it went anywhere. As Ghetsis said a Pokemon is still just a Pokemon.

All it does is get annoyed at Cyrus and takes him to an alternate dimension. The satanic memery is largely unfounded, it's a legendary Pokemon that has the ability to slip between dimensions. I don't mind every gen having some super epic second form doomsday monster godmon. I just wish they weren't all dragons. Give them an ultra versatile "boss" type signature super-ability or something if they need more resistances. Yugioh and Digimon (and Monster Hunter kinda but not to the same extent) pulls this shit too. It's boring.

Even this is exaggerated. As ShayMay explained, the original games had Kyogre cause rain/Groudon cause drought but it's not necessarily established that these things actually have global effects, it's just Hoenn's mythos getting extrapolated by the characters. Of course ORAS ruins this and makes them literally control the weather and turn the planet into Waterworld/literal hell because nu-GameFreak doesn't care about subtlety.

Even in the original games, it was stated that if you didn't stop Kyogre/Groudon quickly, the rain/drought would spread to the rest of Hoenn, and eventually the entire world. It was only localized to a small area for the time being because they were just awakened.

We are almost at the bottom of the barrel of typings, but I trust gamefreak to get creative for the remaining ones. And as long as gamefreak don't blow their load like gen 4 and 5 and put 2-3 in a single gen, we should have plenty of future gens where they can continue the pattern!

First of all, Ultra Necrozma is a pretty cool dragon we haven't had before. Second, if you didn't expect it to turn into a dragon, you must not have seen the concept art and all the discussion pointing out Necrozma's "body" is the top half of a dragon skull.
