Is the Pokémon camp even beneficial? I tried it once or twice and it got old fast. And I only get a titch of EXP.

It's the easiest way to raise friendship in these games, and apparently friendship is maxed out at 160 unless you play Pokemon Camp.

Also, people need to play Camp for their curry dexes.

It was an interesting idea but the implementation sucks. It feels like it's half finished. It's one of the features that makes the game feel rushed.

Yes, Pokemon Camp allows players to:
>fill their curry dex
>raise the friendship and/or affection of their Pokemon, which helps with evolutions tied to those Pokemon
>acquire a wild Pokemon in the area on rare occasions
>increase the EXP of Pokemon that you feed and/or play in the camp, and apparently you get more EXP the higher leveled your Pokemon is.

could have bee useful as a rest station to cure hp, status, and PP for free if:

It was fun until my Pokemon started giving me random stupid messages during battle.

also most importantly heal your mons so your adventures feel more like adventures since you dont need to go back to PC to heal, so it doesn't break the immersion.
