>>42088736>Flareon's main niche (which you seem to be ignoring) is being able to beat that while having access to recovery.I'm not ignoring it. I've just yet to see any proof of it. People keep saying "Yea bro it beats the shit out of Clefable" I couldn't find a single Clefable calc in that thread. Again YOU seem to be ignoring the fact that this is all just theory crafting with no actual results. Like I said before, if I'm proven wrong & with actual results I'll gladly accept it has a proper niche.
>>Hatterene>>Psyshock>Isn't as common as you think. A lot of people are opting for Psychic. Flareon will be fineIf Flareon doesn't become some niche pick that is fairly common, then yes. It will become more common & more of a problem for Flareon users. You can't say "Yea, this Pokemon is good because it'll beat X" and then when X Pokemon is shown to rip Flareon a new asshole you can't say "Oh well, it's not like it'll ever use STAB move that fulfills a good roll especially on a Psychic/Fairy mon" Sure, only 13% of people are currently using Psyshock on their Hatt's at the moment but if Flareon were to see more usage, then so would Psyshock.
>>Dragapult>Flareon can Wish off the damage since Dragapult will have to contend with a lower special attack. Tanking most of Dragapult's moves is just a bonus anyway.Entire point why I posted the Dragapult calc was because it shows Vaporeon does a much better job at tanking it with less sp.def investment.
>>Stealth Rock>Isn't an issue with Heavy Duty BootsYea, just cuck yourself out of leftovers. Realistically yea, Heavy Duty boots can work for Flareon since it'll be switching in a lot but you're going to be getting worn down a lot. A non-fire type wouldn't have to give up leftovers just to switch in without taking 25% HP from stealth rocks.
again, I'm just waiting for real results and not less than 10 people theory crafting.
