>>42093462>SinnohNo. Too many caves, too many HMs. Mt Coronet fucking blew, and is the biggest fucking slog in all of Pokemon. The rest of the region is alright, other than the gay ass caves and the snow routes, but nothing special. For a region based on the most interesting prefecture of Japan, it sure was boring.
>UnovaOnly in B2/W2. It lacks long, winding routes to explore with plenty of secrets.
>KantoBasic as all hell. The route design is mediocre and basic. The city design is mediocre and basic. The region design is mediocre and basic
>JohtoNo, it's an absolute shit region. No route variety, they're all grass + trees. The routes are tiny as fuck, all of the dungeons, except for Whirlpool Islands and Mt Morter, sucked, the Pokemon variety is laughably bad, easily the worst in the series, there is no memorable route in the entire region, and it's just a roadblock on the way to Kanto, the better region.
>HoennFar too low on the list. Other than B2/W2 Unova, it's the best region, hands down. Long, winding routes. Tons of optional side content. Plenty of route diversity (desert route, long, rainy forest route, volcano route). Plenty of area diversity. Water routes only make up about a 5th of the game, so that complaint is overblown, especially since you can skip half of it because it's optional. Hoenn is the first region that gave cities an identity, especially with cities like Lavaridge, Slateport, Rustboro, and ESPECIALLY Sootopolis.
>AlolaIt's too high on the list. Absolute garbage region. Too much handholding, not enough side content, routes too linear, too much roadblocking.
>GalarIt's too soon to say, but honestly, we already know it's one of the worst regions.
>KalosIt's better than Alola/Galar/Johto, but not good. It's pretty decent between the 3rd and 4th gym, and then again after you get out of the Fairyfag town, but that desert route was unforgivably bad.
