Some Pokemon are terrible in competitive, but most are ok in-game. What are some examples of the contrary: Pokemon that are ok or good in competitive, but absolute dogshit in-game?

i find that wobbuffet is useful in one way in that it nukes almost all boss trainers since counter/mirror coat ether one k.o or cripples them, but wild encounters and normal trainer become annoying and it doesn't really do much to then since they would of die in on hit anyway

this
defensive pokemon in general are useless in game. Not necessarily because they are bad (although many are just dead weight until they get the right moves), but because there isn't a single point in the series where a defensive pokemon is actually a better choice than anything that hits hard, especially if it also hits fast

Ah Shuckle. I used to run him in my team back when gold first came out then again in Platinum.
It was always funny to watch them beef up all their mons and try the big hitters only to do like 40-50 damage.
They would always get pissy and I would just laugh at them for their ignorance.

Ironic since my run in colosseum made umbreon and espeon reliable while flygon got rekt

stall is minimizing and undoing the damage your opponent puts out. Shuckle has no useful tools to do anything like that. It can't recover outside of rest, control threats, etc. If shuckle or ferro uses its bulk to set hazards or just pivot between mons, then they're support, not stall. Setting aside that stall is a team archetype, not an individual role.

I don't think it's possible for a pokemon to be good competitively but dog shit in-game because the pokemon that are dog shit in-game are dog shit either because they're extremely gimmicky (Ditto) or don't learn shit (Gen 1 Magikarp and Caterpie). And I don't think any pokemon that is viable, let alone good, for competitive fits that description.

Volcarona, at least in terms of the main story. It evolves from larvesta at too high of a level to be used before you beat Ghetsis, at which point it's only good for postgame fights and battle subway.
Also Ditto, if you're talking purely about battling.

Larvesta isn't dog shit, though. It's not very strong, but it has moves to work with and a decent enough attack to make it work. I'd say something that is dog shit would have to be something that has trouble even winning fights. Ditto definitely fits the bill. It's one of the few pokemon that can't always solo an entire game.

And you're an idiotic mongoloid. "Stall pokemon" don't exist. Stall is a tactic. Even something like Toxapex can learn attacks and be used as a sweeper in-game because fighting the CPU is completely different than fighting another player. It won't be a good sweeper, but it won't be dog-shit either as long as it's not underleveled.

Defensive backbones like shuckle or ferropex work wonders in fangames, since those usually include actual difficulty so having a bulky mon that can switch in and get the opponent into revenge kill range is very useful.
Ditto in particular is really good in fangames that have superpowered boss monsters or tough trainers that set up with dragon dance and such, because scarf impostor lets you basically beat them down with their own beatstick. Even without scarf, you can bank on the 50% speed tie.

I used the under leveled Mandibuzz in Black 2 once, I think you catch it level 25 before I should be able to evolve? It was okay, about as effective as using Skarmory in-game, which is all good but not amazing. The fact that it came with Weak Armor hurt it though, fuck Weak Armor.

you're thinking of tanky pokemon, though, not defensive pokemon. Tanky pokemon usually can dish out damage as well. Most defensive pokemon can at best take a hit or two from ultra necrozma but do fuck all in return (I guess except for using toxic on it)
