Dark is bad, all they needed to do was make Ghost a special type, give it some damaging moves, and make it super-effective against and resistant/immune to Psychic.
Dark is redundant and only exists because they fucked up Ghost so badly.

You mean splitting Special into S.Atk and S.Def in gen 2? I wonder what kind of reason someone could come up with to justify a stance like that, even a shitpost reason, since that split seems like a pretty objective improvement. But then again I've had people sell me on pre-physical/special split being more interesting competitive-wise before so maybe there's an argument.

the split means they need 20% more time to make each pokemon's stats, having just a "special" stat would give more time to add pokemon, as each pokemon is 1 content this would mean 20% more content
