Yes, it's a bit of a shame. I think gen 5 was the last time they really cared about what they were doing. I can partially forgive gen 6 because some of the big leaps (3D, new system, fully integrated online) and the need to rush gen 7 for the anniversary made it shaky, but 7 and especially 8 showed they don't give a fuck anymore.
