Meh, I really loved the actual design and feel of the region it's the first time since diamond I felt like I was in a pokemon region.
But the actual layout of each route and city is garbage worse than Colosseum.

If they ever do the sword/shield+ games or whatever I really hope they change shit like this. It's a great region just really terribly done.

I doubt they'll do a third version. Alola and XY both made it glaringly obvious they had plans for a third version, with XY gettin fucked over by the decision to do ORAS instead, but SwSh already has all the shit they usually save for the third version (3rd legend in main story, move tutors and more).

I'm not a fan of tourist Pokemon. They crossed the line between taking inspiration from the UK and being the UK but with Pokemon.

Underwhelming really. You've got these big open areas between towns and cities on the map but they're guarded off by little picket fences. The "open world" Pokemon game feels so much like a hallway except for the wild area, which could've been much much larger.

Route 1 and 2 are a bit shitty but the rest is okay.

mixed bag. Ballonlea is my absolute favorite spot in the game, but it's a shame there's nothing to do or buy in it. i was hoping Spikemuth would have at least sold a leather jacket like Marnie's, but hey guess you can only get it in Wyndon... for some reason.
Overall, it's a pretty place, just not much to do in it.

Had potential, but wasted.

Could have been larger, had more areas to explore, better typings for mons.
