Pokemon isn't just the mainline games, it's more merchandise than anything else. if a game flops, that's fine so long as there are mon that people relate to. I honestly didn't really like Pokemon Pointy Stick and Blocky Board, but fuck did I like a healthy chunk of the mons. I mean, give me an Applin plush and a Polteaguist figure and I'd be happy.
