Serebii says 1/512, but I think it's a 3% chance for the encountered Pokemon to have a chance to be rolled as shiny. So, 3% for a potential shiny, then it rolls 1/512 after that. Not sure though

Yes, about 12 of them. One was from my den, the rest I got from online raids. Have to release three of them because they got bad natures.
Thinking of trade them away to unlucky anons after event ends. I will keep one non-HA and one HA for myself, of course.

Use swap card with random codes, it will update your y-comm if you wait few seconds or minutes. And search your stamps by 'seeking' only.

Also got a 6iv shiny after 5 dens. Had to jolly mint it. No HA but I prefer a bulky intimidate build. Its the only build worth running really. Gyarados is worthless.

There's definitely something fucky going on with shiny rates in general, I've got a shiny Magikarp, shiny Charmeleon and shiny Aegislash all from dens in the last 3 hours. I reckon they've accidentally upped the rate across the board instead of just for Magikarp.

There are no ultra shiny. I can guarantee you that all event shiny magikarp are square.
Square are rare only in breeding, normal raids and fossils. Wild encounters give you 100% chance of square shiny.

Yep.
I got mine with its HA in like 20 min using that method.
It just needs a couple of bottle caps to max all IVs and it's ready to go. Its ability is -SpA +Def wich is decent, I might give it a mint later.

No, there's a retardedly small chance the wild shiny spits out star shinies - but it's like a 1 in 17m chance or something of happening.
These raid boosted shinies are all square shinies, due to how the boost rates work though.
