Why does every person making UE4 Pokemon not even understand basic lighting or having a proper art style? They either put Pokemon in an incredibly unfitting realistic environment or have ugly harsh lighting, usually both.

you must mean the wild void, yes. that isn't open world because all it is is an empty field. there are no decisions to make, no important events, nothing of magnitude to the story, just catching pokemon in an empty soulless poor graphics field.

these are absolutely not comparable. botw not having bespoke dungeons is surely a problem and it feels like something's missing, but if you look at the core elements of what made a zelda dungeon in previous games they're still there - puzzling is mostly distributed in shrines, boss fights are distributed throughout the overworld, etc. any one of these events feels less fulfilling than a complete dungeon in traditional zelda, but it's not reasonable to say botw wasn't made with care - they took a risky design decision in the splitting of those elements that some people didn't like, reasonably

Pokemon should never go open world. Now I think the map should definitely be entirely made up of segments that can be freely explored once unlocked, but due to gamefreak's track record I'd never want to see pokemon go full-on open world. You really think gamefreak of all companies can properly implement scaling levels? They're already pathetic about it in the wild area, and that's just one place.

Those "dungeons" take 10 minutes. Emulate Minish Cap or ALTTP and then tell us that the divine beasts are the same level of dungeon making

The wild area was really well liked by most people and GF is probably gonna capitalize on that.

Routes barely exist anymore anyway so might as well just cut them out and have a big wild area.

Puzzles without direction or flow are meaningless. You might as well make each of the shrines a math quiz. The boss fights are beyond easy. Admit it; the only CARE put into BotW was the world and the lore within the world.
