Why did they retcon Leafeon and Glaceon’s evolution methods? They never retcon anything. In fact, the reason you *couldn’t* use a Leaf Stone on Eevee for Gen IV-VII was because GF is obsessively autistic about retcons, hence the retarded breeding incenses, the increasingly bizarre evolution methods for old Pokémon gaining new forms, and the introduction of a fucking multiverse theory to explain the existence of Mega Evolution and Fairy-type.
