I like amped's moves and design more, but Lowkey definitely have better personality/animation and color palette.
In the end I think I'm ampedfag because it's a form I chosen for gift Toxel, gear shift is too good to pass over.

I started with Lowkey when I started playing but switched to Amped after restarting my game. His Speed kind of sucks even though he’s got a Naive nature, but if he gets a hit in it usually does pretty massive damage.

Probably my favorite Pokémon of Gen 8, at least for now.

Sadly there is no reason to use Low Key in a competitive setting. Even if you are not using Shift Gear you are giving it away by not running Amped.

Amped is the one with shift gear. The blue one is the one with something else and can only be modest, timid, and other things that weaken attack.

wrong, because of nature mints. you can make amped timid and it still gets shift gear, and just as importantly it threatens that that MIGHT be the set. if you use lowkey you're basically telling your opponent what set you are or limiting the possible viable sets you're running and making it easier for them to play around your toxtricity

Outside of Gear Shift there's absolutely no difference between the two that'd put one at a greater disadvantage than the other. Since he's usually run with a Scarf or Specs it matters even less, especially if you're running some Plus-Minus meme set on doubles. Their stats are the same.

on a special attacker shift gear is just agility with an irrelevant side effect, shift gear tox is entirely viable - more so when your tox switches in on a pokemon that fears a specs or scarf set and it gets to set up

Yeah but it's like female or shiny greninja in SM. You could've probably guessed that your opponent's greninja was protean based on their team, but they're still dumb for giving it away like that. Same for shift gear toxtricity, even though almost all of them run specs. It's minor but it's an optimization.
