I actually like the starters. they're not great, but I don't hate any of them.

i actually think the new pokemon are some of the best we've seen in a long time. the only duds i can think of are eiscue and indeedee.

also, im glad they took the best of both worlds with overworld and random encounters. props to that.

Dexcut, as bad as it is, makes a good job of making galarmons look better than they should be. Also it's the first time we see a random ice type getting banned so it counts as entertainment.

Pros:
Visuals are very nice
Wild area is great concept
Characters are memorable and fun
All the Britishness
Curry
Great on the Switch

Cons:
Y-Comm barely functions at times
A lot of cut content, buildings inaccessible, lack of dungeons, villain base, ect
Lack of much of a post game / alternative things to do
Story needed more

It has the best iteration of the Gym Challenge in the series and it felt really fun and exciting to complete. I also thought most of the new designs for the Pokémon were really good and I wanted to use pretty much all of them at some point. I think me going into these games almost completely blind helped me with this though, I wasn't present here at all since they were announced to when I played them, so everything was a surprise.
