Past gens were never this much of a disjointed clusterfuck. TPC has always done a good job keeping the different parts of the franchise consistent and in sync with each other, so I don't know they dropped the ball so hard with this gen. What's even more confusing though is how the games still managed to sell well despite how horrible the marketing is this gen.
