I'll never get why they didn't just have the appeal buttons be universal and not limited to just props held in hand, making all Pokémon who cannot hold them at a major disadvantage to the point of insta-loss when trying to "win" a performance.

I did 1 contest in ruby and decided it wasn't for me. never tried a single super contest in gen 4, never tried a musical in gen 5, never did pokestar studio past the forced part. just playing pokemon
