Is this one of the cringest things the Pokémon community has ever created? It was pretty munch a DA fanfic added to make the stream "better".

I look fondly to TPP Red. And yes, I loved the lore (based Drowzee gatekeeper). My favourite moments were:
-after finally beating Giovanni’s wild ride, and defeating him in battle, accidentally using an escape rope before picking up the silph scope and having to run through the maze again
-severely underleveled Venomoth defeating Lance 1on1 vs Dragonite, thanks to the shit gamecode

It might not be the most fun (which is subjective) but it sure was the best way to progress.

Personally I thought it was pretty fucking funny and a bizarre internet lightning in a bottle moment.

I think I was too old at the time to really geek out about participating or finding it particularly cringey, just...interesting.

It was kinda fun checking in every day to see what the latest was. Thought the community creating lore was cool and creative but could definitely get lame when not taken for the joke it all was.

It was cool, but only the red run. It was a simple, little experiment that caught on, and it was fun to watch people try to interpret a coherent story from the events that were basically random.
Doing gen 2? Fine, but pushing it. Gen 3? No.
The fact that it's apparently still going nearly 6 years later is cringe. It should've died when it was at its high point.
