It’s terrible because it has more niggers than any single title to date.

By the time you get to the THIRD town I had already counted TWENTY niggers from the start of the game to the point and I was honestly so infuriated I broke my right joycon.

I don't hate it, it's just that, like Detective Pikachu, I got through everything too quickly, so I legit feel like there's nothing to do. Main game, postgame, EV training, Dex completion, Battle Tower completion (6 ribbons for the team and the Starf Berry), etc., all done within days.

Its a poorly made game, but the core concept of Pokémon is so enjoyable that most Pokémon fans will still have fun with it. Gen 8 is a bad game because

The beginning of the game is too slow and has too many interruptions then it speeds up a little near the half way point before speeding up by a shitton because of the crunch gamefreak was probably experiencing seeing how a lot of the later parts of the game seem super barren.

I got it for $40 like a week ago and have been slowly working through it. It's below average for a Pokemon game, which is already saying something, plus being a $60 console game making it's mediocrity stand out even more. I'm having some fun with it but find myself getting bored by it more quickly than previous games. Also, the wild area is fucking ass and if they continue to go that direction without improving it drastically, I'll probably actually drop the series. For $40 I don't feel terrible for buying it but I'd say that's the max it's worth, same as previous games were.

Nah you can still explore almost the entirety of it besides the Lake of Outrage.

Most games have a sizeable amount of content upon completion, GSC having an entire 2nd region to explore after beating it, Emerald having the Battle Frontier, the absurd amount of shit that opens up in DPPt etc. All you get in SS is a 1 hour sidequest and a really shitty battle tower.

there's a lot of fun parts, but then you're at the end of the game in less than 10 hours with over half the dex complete without trying.

I'm mad about dex cut, but most of my babies got in to where I can still like the game and enjoy new pkm.

The fairy town was my favorite part of the game even though it feels 100% out of place for a pokemon game. Feels like I should be getting some quests to kill slimes there.
