She is not annoying at all. So far im until the dark gym, and she is just another player in the league. Hop is some child who is basically Hau Number 2, who keeps monologing about how he is under his brother's shadow. Hop is wayy more annoying than marnie.

Marnie isn't annoying but Hop is. Hop actually interrupts the game every 5 minutes to go and either battle you or give you story. Hop is basically Hau but worse. Hau at least had a better team despite picking the starter weak to yours meanwhile most of Hop's team is weak to fire so picking scorbunny makes fighting him even easier. Hau also doesn't praise you for common sense.

She’s not.
You only really have to deal with her a few times and each interaction is fairly brief.

The post game content with her brother is far more annoying.

It is the hidden benefit of SwSh's story being so shitty.

Characters are objectively worse? Sure. All SwSh characters are objectively the worst of the franchise. But atleast they stop you and bug you alot less than literally everyone in SM due to cutscenes and story being shorter.

Also you unlock the Battle Tower and you unlock rematches with all the leaders and rivals in tournaments you can organize after you become champion, along with 5-Star Max Raids becoming enabled on all Dens of the Wild Area.

While I like Lillie in both Alolan games and don't find her that annoying. (She is more annoying in SM due to how after spending the whole game making you fight her own battles, she just went back to her Mother in the end.)

Marnie is almost the reverse of the problem, she doesn't do a whole lot and doesn't take that much screen time. She also helps you a couple times. She is one of the most down to earth characters in this series and that scene where she smiles is pure gold.

I just wished she done more in the game.

She's Anti-Lillie. You could rarely go 5+ minutes in Gen 7 without Lillie being on screen. Marnie is only battled 3 times during the main story and has basically no involvement in the story. She's the least relevant of the 3 rivals.
