What are you talking about?

In co-op events you simply quick connect to others randomly for rewards. You have to do the main story, which isn't even completed, solo. The gacha walls don't change based on whether you've done the solo or co-op events; that's just a matter of paying or being f2p and hoarding your gems.

Solo was the wrong wording my bad, what I mean is if I can just play the game's story without spending money do I reach walls or is it like Fire Emblem Heroes (At launch, I didn't play the updates) where I did the whole plot without spending a dime as long as I didn't care for Multiplayer or hard mode

The latter - you don't have to spend anything. Also, I've only ever played FGO, but Masters is super generous compared to it in terms of both giving you a lot of free gems, giving you a guaranteed pull if you pull 400 times on the same banner (save to 40k gems which won't take long), and it also gives you plenty of 5* units for free.

Ah yeah, the game gives a lot of free gems, actually. I did spend a bit of money when it came out but mostly due to hype, but I never did again and honestly Dena gives you thousands and thousands of gems. Most are to compensate for bugs, or because of special events (if you had started before Christmas you'd have gotten a shitload of them).

If you have a pokewaifu, keep rerolling by deleting your save data after the tutorial to get her with your first batch of gems. I spent hours doing that to get my waifu, Gardenia, but it's definitely the primary thing that makes the game worth it for me.

its really good to a f2p player and the story is pretty fun. if you want to just enjoy single player content id say its worth it. they add story chapters like every couple of months and they add events like the one going on now with cynthia vs lance, giovanni and mewtwo etc every 3 weeks or less it feels like. you can clear like all of the solo content with your favorite trainers. and then if you ever wanna play more of the gacha/multiplayer you can just give it a try. they are pretty generous with gems
