Maybe this is an American thing or something, but by default many people don't smile unless they have a reason to, or their default faces just happen to look like Kahili's, which means that when they DO smile it's genuine. I know many people with RBF who are the absolute sweetest and funniest, and they don't need to be :D like some bubblehead bimbo 24/7 to convey that they do have a personality.
