>>42259050>>42259162It's completely asinine. A website for Pokémon of all things should not be taking political stances. By saying you're in support of a political regime and against another and calling it the stance of the website, you are alienating people who don't have the same opinions or political affiliation as you. It may come off as an act of inclusion, but the most inclusive thing you can do is nothing. Really. If you're making special exceptions for people just because they're part of minority groups, that is not equality. That is bias. When you join a Pokémon website, your age, gender, race, none of that matters. You're simply a name that posts and that's what you're judged on. But to say "This is our stance" is to disavow those who don't take the same stance. There's this logical fallacy where a person thinks "Oh, but it's okay if I post my politics because my politics are the CORRECT politics". To say that it's related because it affects the community is not an excuse. Just because something affects people and your Pokémon community is made up of people doesn't mean that the thing affecting people is related to Pokémon.
Even if the majority of the people on your website lean towards your political views, that is no justification for pushing those views on everyone just because the majority is in your favor. That goes against supporting minorities anyway and is thus hypocritical to your views. Once again, the most inclusive thing you can do is nothing.
