Honestly? You know the game is underwhelming when we're constantly having to compare them to games that came out 13-15 years ago on the fucking Gamecube. Shouldn't even be a question.
Do SwSh look better? Graphically, yes they do, but that's not exactly a high bar - an HD game SHOULD look better. Even then, games like Colosseum and XD still have better actual animations for the Pokemon models; all but a few animations in SwSh are trash. The effects and scaling in Colosseum and XD are also much better. In short, even though they might look worse, Colossuem and XD actually look like proper console games.
>>42240056>Are they really putting that little effort into these games now? Or is it fun to play in spite of the graphics? I more or less play every game out of habit now so I'll end up buying it regardless but I've been hyping myself a little too much for this one and I might need to deflate that a littleDepends on what your idea of fun is.
The graphics are mediocre. The animations are mostly crap, because most of them come from the 3DS games.
Did you like all of the dialogue and linearity in SM/USUM? Because SwSh are just going to be more of that. Except without anything resembling a coherent plot.
What I can say is, don't expect anything special. It's an upscaled 3DS game. How much you like the game will depend on how much you like the wild area, because this game is barren of content otherwise.
