I unironically agree with you OP. I'm a compfag, so I welcome these new changes and I'm really enjoying this new meta.

The QoL changes for people like me are great. It's easier than ever to actually have a legit shiny competitive Pokemon thanks to how easy hyper training is, and the fact that mints exist.

There are, of course, some Pokemon I really wish would have made it in (all the previous starters, Tyrantrum, and Garchomp, for example), but if cutting them helped bring such overall balance, I'm all in.

VGC is the future since GameFreak are committed to balancing around it, and so far this gen they've been much better than the dumbasses running Smogon at balancing their game
