Now if only there was a move that deals damage and cures poison.

wake up and salts deal double damage when they hit their respective status. sparkling aria is just surf that heals your opponent's burn

Maybe something vaccine related? Since they do contain a bit of the.. thing they're trying to make you inmune against (I forgot the word, sorry) but by doing this it heals you.

I thought it was just objectively inferior surf for a while, but it turns out it’s also a sound move. It’s preferred on Lapras if you have no way to burn your opponent on your team.

It's already a better surf anyway since it's a sound move and you're either running it or scald, not both

So is this move actually useful? I can't imagine that it'd be a good idea to run a move that damages your doubles partner just for a roundabout way to heal burns.

In Singles? Yes, it's great. In doubles you'd always prefer going for Liquid Voice Hyper Voice, though.

Why do you want Sparkling Aria in singles? Just for Guts users? IIRC it's functionally identical to Hyper Voice otherwise.

Sparkling Aria DOESN'T damage your partner

That's what makes it better than Surf.

In Singles, use Sparkling Aria. In Doubles, use Liquid Voice Hyper Voice.

To hit through Substitute and still have a possible Torrent boost. Hyper Voice is a normal type move unless you have Liquid Voice so you're basically wasting an ability to get the same result.

That's wrong. Sprakling Aria damages your partner. What makes it a better surf is being able to hit through substitutes.
